Estate and Planned Giving

Where there's a will, there's a way. A planned gift to Methodist Children's Home Society in your will is the ultimate expression of commitment to restoring and rebuilding the life of an abused and neglected child. A simple bequest is a lasting testament and an opportunity to preserve your legacy while helping secure the future of an organization that provides hope and healing to so many children that otherwise may be forgotten.

If you have already made provisions for Methodist Children's Home Society in your estate plans, we encourage you to share your intentions with us so that we may personally thank you and incorporate your gift into our long-range planning goals for the agency. Although individual circumstances will vary, a will is the only way that you can be certain your wishes will be honored and executed. Changes in circumstances may suggest changes in a will. If you already have a will, here are some things you should consider:

  • Is your will up to date?
  • Do you have any minor children?
  • Have you moved to a different state?
  • Has the size of your estate changed since your will was written?
  • Have any of the individuals (executor, beneficiary, ministry) named in your will died or ceased operation? Moved or changed names?
  • Have you been thinking about adding or deleting any beneficiaries in your will?
  • Have any tax law changes had an impact on your planned distribution of property?
